Caernarfon is the most popular tourist destination in North Wales. The walled town boasts one of the most impressive castles in the country and there are many places to eat and drink catering for all budgets.
The centrally located village of Penygroes makes the perfect base for exploring the various towns in this area of North Wales such as Bangor, Pwllheli, Porthmadog, Blaenau Ffestiniog and Caernarfon. The long beach at Dinas Dinlle is a short drive to the west or head south and explore the many beautiful beaches and coastal villages on the Llyn Peninsula. Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa) is a short drive to the east and the upstairs rooms in The Hideaway boast views of the mountain on clear days.
Be sure to visit Portmeirion - especially if you were a fan of Patrick McGoohan's cult TV series The Prisoner which was filmed at this privately owned Italianate village.
There are miles of cycle paths and walks for you to explore in this region and we welcome dogs if you wish to bring one (or two) well behaved canine companions with you.

"The nicest air b&b I've stayed in"
"The nicest air b&b I’ve stayed in personally! Place was modern, very nice and local to a lot of places. Check-in was easy and great communication before hand. Bed is also SUPER comfy!"
"Really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful cottage. Had everything we needed, plenty of space and extremely well presented."
"Really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful cottage."
"I honestly can't recommend it highly enough"
"This property is absolutely stunning and very tastefully decorated! I don't think the pictures show quite how spacious it is, especially the bedroom.
It's immaculately clean and really well equipped. There was even a bed, blanket, towel and treats provided for our dog. In fact there were so many thoughtful touches, it's clear that Justyn values his guests and wants them to enjoy their stay. The toiletries provided are really nice (I'm normally fussy about what I use but loved them.) The bed is incredibly comfy and there is loads of storage space and plenty of hangers.
I honestly can't recommend it highly enough and would definitely return. Penygroes has a couple of shops and lots of takeaways and it's only a short drive to Dinas Dinlle beach which is beautiful.
I think when word gets out, this property will get booked up very quickly! We managed to book an extra night as we didn't want to leave. Justyn was really helpful and responsive to messages.
We can't wait to return!"
