What is supplied with your cottages?

We supply: tea, coffee, milk sachets, chilled bottled water and some little snacks to get you started. We also supply toilet roll, bin bags, washing up liquid and dish washer tablets.

For the bathroom we supply: flannels, hand towels, large bath towels (bath sheets), soap, shampoo, conditioner and body wash.

For the bedrooms we supply: all linen and two types of pillows; soft medium and medium firm.

What are the parking arrangements?

There is ample free on street parking outside our cottages. If the street should be unusually busy for some reason please try further along the street.

What time is check-in and check-out?

Check in is usually from 4pm and check out is 10am. We want you to be able to enjoy your last morning with us so have made it later than many other holiday rentals, however we do request that you do leave by 10am sharp to allow us enough time to get the property ready for our next guests.

If we can accommodate a complimentary later check-out or earlier check-in we are happy to do so if at all possible (i.e. if we have a day between guests stays) and if you would like to request this we ask that you contact your local housekeeper the day before your arrival or departure to check if this is possible.

Can you provide any recommendations?

With your pre-arrival email we provide a link to a range of eating and activity suggestions. We will send this email around 10 days prior to your arrival. During busy times and weekends we advise pre-booking before your stay. You can also get some suggestions from this Caernarfon visitor guide.

Are there any good walks from the cottages?

The Lon Eifion route from Caernarfon to Bryncir is just around the corner, running along what used to be the Caernarfon to Afon Wen train line. North Wales is renowned for its stunning walks and we supply a walking guide in your accommodation.

Are your cottages dog friendly?

Both our cottages are dog friendly. Please let us know if you are bringing a 4 legged friend when you book so that we can welcome them with a dog bed and dog bowls. We do request that dogs are not allowed upstairs/into the bedrooms and are not left unattended at the cottages.

Do you have a secure outside space at your cottages?

Both cottages have a small yard with a 6ft high surrounding wall. These are secure however personal belongings such as cycles are stored there at your own risk.

What are your cancellation terms?

Our cancellation terms are the most favourable for bookings made here, directly on our website. These are:

Full refund is your stay is cancelled 28 days or more before your stay, (less a small admin fee of £50).

65% refund for cancellations between 8 and 28 days before your stay.

Less than 7 days notice – full payment is due.

We advise that guests take out travel insurance.

Do you accept children?

The Old Labour Exchange (Hen Ganolfan Waith) has two bedrooms, one of which has two single beds and children are most welcome. A travel cot is provided but we cannot supply a high chair. The Hideaway (Cuddfan) only has one king size bedroom. Babies in arms are welcome and we provide a travel cot though we cannot supply a high chair.

Are you available during our stay?

We believe that guests should enjoy maximum privacy so you will not bump into us during your stay. However, should you need anything our cottages have a local housekeeper who can be contacted during your stay. We will provide their details in our pre-arrival email and at the cottage. We want you to have an excellent trip and so we are there for you if you have any questions or need help with anything during your stay.

Do you have WIFI?

Yes both cottages have WIFI. The Hideaway also has a small working area off the lounge and an office upstairs with a hard wired ethernet connection.

Do you have SMART TV’s?

All of our properties have SMART TV’s so that you can sign in to your own movie and TV streaming service.

Can I book both cottages together?

Yes of course, providing they are both available on the dates you require.

Are your cottages near to Caernarfon Town centre?

Both cottages are in the sleepy village of Penygroes which is 5 miles and 10 minutes drive to the south of Caernarfon. This location is perfectly centrally located for the many attractions in the region such as Snowdon, Dinas Dinlle, Caernarfon Town and the Llyn Peninsula.
